Dear Devotees
We are happy to announce that the “unfinished kuti” at Ālōkō Buddhist Center has been completed and is now livable. It was made possible by your kind generosity.
For all those who are unaware, it all started when Kathina was drawing close and some devotees showed interest in contributing towards Kathina. We suggested for them to instead contribute towards the construction of an unfinished kuti in conjunction with Kathina. In a short period of time, a group of devotees from Malaysia managed to collect the whole sum for the project.
Mr. Indika from USA, who first came up with this “new kuti project” idea, also collected some donations, enough to complete some other pending construction works at the center.
We managed to complete most of the project even with bad weather conditions and offered the kuti to the Maha Sangha during Kathina Ceremony.
